THE WEDDING OF SNOW WHITE - 2016

We all know the story, but the original, darker version never made it into a Disney movie.  Our game took place in Bavaria in the 900s in one of many small fiefs that border the Black Forest.  It was a world where glass is so expensive and rare that anything like a full-size mirror is almost unheard of and might be thought to have magical properties.  Where dwarves are shunned by society, where a fourteen year old girl can be a pawn in a political marriage, and where the cold winter chill affects everything.

We had a handsome, if cruel, Prince poised to take over the kingdom, a sharp-tongued adviser, a scheming nurse, and loyal guards on both sides.  At heart of it was the ancient conflict between a charismatic Queen and an uncertain young girl, the dwarf at her side providing comfort (and something more…).  The players fought, connived, some were lost and some won, and the political brinksmanship ended in a stalemate as the two kingdoms prepared for war.
